Getting started

There are mainly two approaches to query the data:

  • Query by gene: using a gene or a set of genes (systematic name, gene symbol or alias) to retrieve conditions where the expression of the gene(s) is significantly changed, in relation to the control condition. Basic search by gene accepts a gene input with default cut-off |log2FC| > 1 and adj. p-val < 0.05. Advanced search by gene searches a set of genes in parallel and allows setting up the query with different cut-off and filters (experimental class and/or sub-class).
  • Query by condition: browsing from provided drop-down lists or searching by a keyword to retrieve a set of differentially expressed genes in a selected condition. This result is based on the meta-analyses of data generated from independent but related studies.

We provide two examples to illustrate two query options and different features of the database.
